Intro
With the new year upon us, I thought it wouldn’t be a bad idea to lay out the road ahead. While there won’t be many changes to the sorts of posts I’ll be doing this year, there will be some things that are going to be a little different from last year that I’ll like to go over.
So let’s get to it!
Changes to Book Recommendations
While the reading recommendations will still be mostly the same as they were last year—they’ll continue to come out around the middle of the month and will focus pretty much exclusively on sci-fi/fantasy books—there is one big change: Not every book I recommend is going to be YA or juvenile. A lot of them are still going to be, but there will be some regular fantasy and sci-fi in there too this year, just to add more variety. (And because I’ve got a few regular fantasy books that I’ve been dying to write about.)
So, if it matters to you that the book is YA or juvenile and not something that might contain more mature themes, be sure to pay attention to the genre that I give it in the infobox at the start of each book overview. If I don’t specifically list it as YA or juvenile, that means it isn’t.
Writing Posts
There will be no major changes to the writing posts this year. I’ll continue to write about how I go about certain parts of the process and keep sharing some of my favorite writing advice and resources.
More Posts About My Own Stories
In addition to the general writing posts and the book recommendations, I’ll also start posting more about my own projects. The plan is to start publishing more of my stories this year, so I’ll finally be able to start talking more about them, which is super exciting. I’ll share announcements, art, and maybe some cool behind-the-scenes stuff if I can find the time.
These posts won’t have much of a schedule, since I’ll just be doing them whenever I have something to talk about, so be sure to keep an eye out for them throughout the year!
Outro
I look forward to another year of blogging, and I hope you’re looking forward to reading! Thank you for your time, and be sure to check back later this month for this year’s first book recommendation post!
