The Blood Stalker (Rise of the Oathsworn Book Four)

Description

Ghosts from the past have a habit of resurfacing. Too often, the damage they do cannot be undone.

Xieraine Laedrin has already achieved much during his short time as a knight of the Balanced Scales, and he is growing more secure in his abilities. So, when he and his mentor Amara Trueheart are sent to the village of Arnum Mill to fend off the horde of undead that has been attacking it every night, he expects to complete their mission with little trouble.

By this point, it seems he should know better.

It soon becomes apparent that the situation in Arnum Mill is more dire than they thought. A vampire is on the loose in the woods around the village and appears to be the one behind the attacks. Worse, she has a personal grudge against Amara—one that won’t be settled until she’s made Amara pay for her past mistakes.

As Amara’s apprentice, it isn’t long before Xier finds himself caught up in the conflict as well. But, despite the danger, he’s determined to stand beside his mentor and do whatever he can to ensure that the vampire doesn’t get what she wants. But can he and Amara really hope to overcome such a dangerous enemy, or will this quest wind up being the end of them both?

The Blood Stalker is a 16,000 word fantasy story, the fourth in the Rise of the Oathsworn series.
